Sound Technician

 The Sound Technician is the qualified professional able to capturing, recording and mixing audio in a sound studio, operating in live sound situations, capturing and playing sound for image and technically setting up audio equipment.

 This technician performs activities such as:

  • Capture, record and mix musical and voice instruments in a sound studio;
  • Set up audio equipment in a sound and live studio;
  • Capture and record in live sound situation;
  • Perform multitrack sound recording;
  • Use MIDI programming and control technologies;
  • Manipulate sound through digital processes;
  • Operate on digital and analog audio desks;
  • Operate with sequencers and audio editors;
  • Mix and master audio products;
  • Synchronize audio with the image for the final product;
  • Capture, record and mix sound for image;
  • Produce and plan audio sessions.

  • 9th year of minimum schooling
  • Maximum age of 19 on the September 1
